BRAND AND WEB DESIGN REVEAL: YOGA MANDALA PROJECT

As a non-profit, storytelling is such an important part of connecting the mission to the community, and I am beyond honored to be able to help tell Yoga Mandala Project’s visual story through their branding and web design.

Yoga Mandala Project supports refugee communities through yoga. They believe that Yoga is an effective way to support the well-being of refugee communities, and can help to foster dignity, compassion and a sense of a shared humanity.

I could not agree more

By far my favorite aspect of this project was creating the gorgeous mandala for the logo. The mandala made its way into the secondary and submark designs as well. I also loved the rich, deep colors of the color palette we created.

Their existing Squarespace site was an older plan that limited the number of pages. They wanted to keep the plan so they could also maintain the pricing of the older plan (cannot blame them there). Since I tend to design using lots of pages (in SS 7.0), it was a fun challenge to make the web design pop while working within the limitations of the Squarespace plan.

We incorporated some colorful custom graphics, lines to add some separation on the pages, and of course, their meaningful photos of service in action to create a site that tells their story and feels true to their mission.

Another big improvement they can now enjoy is connecting their donation method to the site and presenting it prominently on the page. Non-profits depend heavily on donations, so we wanted to make it clear and EASY for people to donate.

Working with Molly and her team was wonderful. I knew Molly from a former life working in education, and it was so fun to reconnect with her! She was THE MOST ORGANIZED person, which made the entire project a dream.

Here is what Molly had to say about our work together:

It has been an absolute pleasure to work with Jannan on relaunching our branding, logo, and project website. Jannan has been incredibly patient throughout the entire process - helping us refine and fine tune until we found the perfect branding and logo. She has provided us with thorough guidance, has been available for support since the beginning, and has been very creative in making our vision a reality.

She has been very thorough in learning about us, what we stand for, what types of people we want to attract, and what message we want to share with the world. Her level of detail as well as her organizational skills have made this a seamless and enjoyable process.
